Computing technology
The Center for Integrated Research Computing (CIRC) provides hardware and software computational and data analytics technologies to the University community—driving research activities across all areas of academic scholarship.
Nanoscience and nanotechnology
Tools and training are available through URnano, a state-of-the-art nanofabrication center serving the University community and industry.

AR/VR research at the Del Monte Institute for Neuroscience leverages the University’s historic and current expertise in optics, vision research, electrical engineering, and computer science as well as clinical care and education.
Makerspaces
Rettner Hall for Media Arts and Innovation is open 24 hours a day for students to use its state-of-the-art recording studios, fabrication lab, and high-end hardware and software for graphics, animation, 3D printing, and other computer-processing tasks.

Data visualization
The VISTA Collaboratory is an interactive, immersive, tiled-display wall that renders massive, complex data sets crisply, clearly, and in real time—and even remotely.
Collaborative work
Shared Resource Labs provide an array of trained personnel and leading-edge services and instrumentation to all researchers at the University’s School of Medicine and Dentistry.
Digitization
The Digital Scholarship Lab specializes in the creation of digital tools and methods, provides support for web-based scholarly initiatives, and partners with faculty on digital research projects.

Optics and laser research
Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ is a thriving hub for laser technologies, photonics, and optical research. Our awards almost half of all optics degrees in the US. And, the is the largest university-based Department of Energy research program.

Del Monte Institute for Neuroscience
Instrumental in bringing together neuroscience and related disciplines—biomedical engineering, brain and cognitive sciences, computer science, and neurology. This multidisciplinary work has made possible critical research into Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis, autism, and dyslexia.
