We are less than a year away from the completion of our first phase of construction and opening a new emergency department to the Rochester community in 2027. Crews continue to make significant and exciting progress, finishing the exterior walls and roofing, and transitioning to final site work throughout the interior.

What’s New

• The exterior crew elevator has been removed
• Roofing installation nearing completion
• Fireproofing being installed
• Future public elevators are now operational
• Prefabricated bathroom pods are being installed. This approach is used to help control costs and installation schedules; the pods are built off-site and then lifted into place for connection to water and power.
• Teams are also busy installing mechanical and electrical equipment, drywall, and interior finishes.
