Philharmonic orchestra playing on stage at the Eastman Theatre

100 YEARS OF EASTMAN

Honor a century of music and the century to come.

Saturday, October 1, 2022

Imagine reading the most beautiful love letters full of poetry, humor, and passion. Now picture them sung on our stage by two of the most talented performers of our time, with a ravishing orchestra behind them. Yeah, the thought takes our breath away, too.

The Eastman Philharmonia, under the direction of Neil Varon, along with Soprano, Nicole Cabell, and Baritone, Rod Gilfry, perform this touching song cycle by composer Kevin Puts which chronicles the romance of iconic artist Georgia O’Keeffe and her mentor-turned-husband, Alfred Stieglitz.
