Patients will be able to connect with their UHS health care provider without needing to come into UHS.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prior to Your UHS Telemedicine Appointment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>You will need to download the free Zoom Cloud Meetings App onto your device. \u00a0See the instructions in Step 2 for downloading the app.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong>\u00a0 <strong>Read and sign the UHS Telemedicine Consent Form. <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Click here to view the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/uhs\/uhs-telemedicine-consent-form\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UHS Telemedicine Health Consent Form<\/a>. If your prefer to view the consent form in PDF format, click on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/uhs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/UHS-Telemedicine-Consent-Form-PDF.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UHS Telemedicine Consent Form<\/a> (PDF).<\/li>\n<li>Your health care provider will obtain your verbal consent at the beginning of your appointment. If you have questions, you can speak with your provider.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Step 2<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> <strong>AT LEAST TWO HOURS prior to your first Zoom appointment, download the free Zoom Cloud Meetings App.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From your mobile device (iPad, iPhone, Android tablet, computer etc.), go to your App Store and download the free Zoom Cloud Meetings App onto the device you will be using.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For Google Play, download the Zoom Cloud Meetings app here: <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=us.zoom.videomeetings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=us.zoom.videomeetings<\/a><\/li>\n<li>For App Store, download the Zoom Cloud Meetings app here: <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/us\/app\/zoom-cloud-meetings\/id546505307\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/us\/app\/zoom-cloud-meetings\/id546505307<\/a><\/li>\n<li>For desktops (Windows or Mac), download the Zoom Cloud Meeting app here: <a href=\"https:\/\/zoom.us\/support\/download\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/zoom.us\/support\/download<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you have technical issues with downloading and\/or using the free Zoom Cloud Meetings App, please contact University IT Help Desk at <a href=\"tel:5852752000\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">585-275-2000<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 3<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> <strong>Identify a location for your Zoom appointment.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to a private, quiet, well-lit location where you are getting a good Internet connection.<\/li>\n<li>PLEASE NOTE: It is highly recommended to use Wi-Fi at your home or work. If you are meeting over a cellular network (example: 4G, 5G), this appointment will use a considerable amount of your data.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Step 4<\/strong>:\u00a0 <strong>Enter your Zoom Appointment\/Meeting about 5 minutes before your appointment.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You will receive a Zoom link prior to your appointment. This link will be sent to you by the person who notifies you of your Zoom appointment.<\/li>\n<li>Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ 5 minutes before your appointment, click on the Zoom link in the message you received from UHS. NOTE: You should be on the device (phone, tablet, or computer) you will use for your telemedicine appointment.<\/li>\n<li>When you see yourself in the Zoom appointment\/meeting, you have completed the steps correctly.<\/li>\n<li>Wait for your UHS health care provider to arrive.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UHS is implementing telemedicine appointments using Zoom secure software that patients can download to their mobile device or computer.
