The student was approached by three individuals who attempted to take the victim\u2019s backpack and then pushed them to the ground. A fellow student witnessed the incident and called DPS for assistance. The three individuals fled the area but were quickly located by DPS in the area of the tennis courts along Wilson Boulevard. The student was not injured and nothing was taken. The individuals are all juveniles and were released to the custody of their parents or the Rochester Police Department.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5472 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/public-safety\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Unknown.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"517\" height=\"240\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/public-safety\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Unknown.png 517w, https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/public-safety\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Unknown-300x139.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 517px) 100vw, 517px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Anyone who may be a witness to this crime or has additional information is encouraged to contact Public Safety at\u00a0<a href=\"tel:585-275-3333\">585-275-3333<\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Safety Tips<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>If you feel you or others are in danger, immediately call DPS at <a href=\"tel:585-275-3333\">585-275-3333<\/a><strong>,<\/strong> or if off-campus call 911.<\/li>\n<li>Be alert to your surroundings.\u00a0Trust your instincts.
