The MSCHE is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

MSCHE conducts accreditation and pre- accreditation (candidate status) activities for institutions of higher education including distance, correspondence education, and direct assessment programs offered at those institutions. The Commission’s geographic area of accrediting activities is throughout the United States.

MSCHE accreditation status and self-study

The Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ has been accredited by MSCHE since 1921. The Commission’s most recent action on the institution’s accreditation status in 2024 was to reaffirm accreditation for the full 8 years. The University community can view the statement of accreditation status as well as the 2024 self-study and team review below.

Complaint Notification

Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ students who have complaints that have not otherwise been resolved through contact with University internal offices (including School offices) may file a complaint under the New York State Education Department procedures as outlined on its website at .

Complaints not resolved at the institutional level may also be filed with the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, following the process for Complaints Involving Member and Candidate Institutions.
