What:<\/strong> Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ events for Spread the Word to End the Word.<\/p>\n

Where:<\/strong> Wilson Commons on the University’s River Campus<\/p>\n

When:<\/strong> 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 4.<\/p>\n

Spread the Word to End the Word is a national movement to end the demeaning use of the words \u201cretard\u201d and \u201cretarded.\u201d The Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ is proud to support this campaign, and on March 4, the movement\u2019s national day of awareness, several events will occur around campus and throughout the Medical Center.<\/p>\n

The Yellow Jackets and No Disclaimers will perform between 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Wilson Commons. Students are invited to participate in a whiteboard photo campaign, sign banners, and other activities. Stations where people can sign a pledge not to use the \u201cR-word\u201d will be located in several locations including in Wilson Commons, Eastman Institute for Oral Health locations, and in the Medical Center.<\/p>\n
