On Saturday, Oct. 18, two popular experts on Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ history will highlight some its most significant milestones and retell some of its best stories in \u201cIcons and Images: The University\u2019s History in 12 Artifacts.\u201d<\/p>\n
The event will be from 4 to 5 p.m. in 207 Schlegel Hall, on River Campus, and it is open to the community.<\/p>\n
Paul Burgett ’68E, ’72E (MA), ’76E (PhD), vice president and senior advisor to the president, and Melissa Mead, the John M. and Barbara Keil University Archivist and Rochester Collections Librarian, will jointly provide the storytelling using images and artifacts brought from the University Archives for the event.<\/p>\n
At the presentation, guests can purchase the University\u2019s new written and visual history, Our Work Is But Begun: A History of the Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ 1850\u20132005<\/em>, written by Janice Bullard Pieterse and published by the Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ Press.
