The production is the program\u2019s first to be held in the new performance space.<\/p>\n<p>The play is an award-winning modern adaptation of Anton Chekhov\u2019s <em>The Seagull<\/em>, featuring memorable characters bound together in complex love triangles. Nigel Maister, the Russel and Ruth Peck Artistic Director of the theater program, calls Posner\u2019s work a \u201cperceptive, funny, and thought-provoking contemporary play.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Maister also serves as the show\u2019s scenic designer. Costume design is by Rodrigo Munoz; lighting design is by Emma Deane; sound design and music is composed by Obadiah Eaves; and Alexa Scott-Flaherty serves as voice and acting coach.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Showtimes and tickets for <em>Stupid F*cking Bird<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Thursday, December 2 at 7 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>Friday, December 3 at 7 p.m. <em>Free tickets are available for University students for this performance (Institute for the Performing Arts Night)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Saturday, December 4 at 7 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>Sunday, December 5 at 2 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>Wednesday, December 8 at 7 p.m. <em>Free tickets are available for Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ students for this performance (English Department Night)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Thursday, December 9 at 7 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>Friday, December 10 at 7 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>Saturday, December 11 at 7 p.m.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Tickets are $8 for Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ students with ID card; $12 for faculty, staff, alumni, and seniors (65+); and $15 for general admission.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sas.rochester.edu\/theatre\/box_office.php\">Buy tickets online<\/a>. You can also get tickets at the Common Market at Wilson Commons or at the Sloan Center\u2019s Box Office (one hour before the curtain).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>COVID-19 protocols: All audience members must
