Greene Center for Career Education and Connections.<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-482412\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/newscenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/GwenniesLogoLarge.jpg\" alt=\"logo illustration with The Gwennies banner draped over Rush Rhees Library.\" width=\"450\" height=\"626\" \/>Nine awards were handed out Wednesday, May 26 at the Gwennie Awards, presented by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/careercenter\/\">Gwen M. Greene Center for Career Education and Connections.<\/a> The event was first held in 2017 and honors partners who exemplify the center\u2019s values and support career education efforts for students and alumni. The Gwennies were canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe last 15 months have been tumultuous and upside down for many of us,\u201d Joe Testani, assistant dean and executive director of the Greene Center, said during the virtual ceremony. \u201cWe\u2019ve found new ways to connect and do our work, new ways to support each other and our students.
