The second annual Gwennies Award Luncheon, hosted by the Gwen M. Greene Center for Career Education and Connections<\/a>, was held Thursday, April 12 in Feldman Ballroom at Frederick Douglass Commons.<\/p>\n

The awards honor partners who exemplify the Greene Center\u2019s values\u2014respect, collaboration, diversity and inclusion, betterment, and purpose. Students, staff, and alumni received awards.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a celebration of our colleagues and partnerships across campus,\u201d said Joe Testani, assistant dean and director of the Greene Center. \u201cWithout them, we wouldn’t be able to fulfill our mission.\u201c<\/p>\n

Gwen Greene \u201965, the longstanding Board of Trustees member for whom the center is named, presented the awards and spoke of the passion that fills the center.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy working together, there’s nothing we can\u2019t do,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

University president Richard Feldman was the luncheon\u2019s final speaker.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you think of the range of people nominated for these awards, it\u2019s a really remarkable testament to the growth, and expansion and kinds of partnerships that have been built,\u201d Feldman said. \u201cThis is the Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ at its best.\u201d<\/p>\n
