The Gwen M. Greene Career and Internship Center<\/a><\/strong> is rolling out a new career community model\u2014a network of partners (Career Center staff, alumni, employers, faculty, parents and families, student groups, and students) from a group of related industries to help students learn more about and connect with industries and professions. By connecting with the \u201ccareer communities\u201d early in their academic career, students can begin to gain insight into their values, interests, personality, and skills and how they connect to the possibilities for your future. More information will be available in the fall semester.<\/p>\n

New career exploration course offered<\/h2>\n

The Career Center is piloting a new course in career exploration specifically for sophomores (fall semester) and first-year students (spring semester). The course, CAS 104, is designed to assist students in developing the skills to navigate career choice in today\u2019s complex, global economy. Students will complete self-assessment activities, research academic and career options, write reflection papers, and have conversations with Rochester alumni. Save the dates: career expos planned<\/h2>\n

Students can meet with employers from a variety of engineering, finance, banking, consulting, market research, leadership development, and management programs to discuss full-time and internship opportunities.<\/p>\n
