The Association for Psychological Science (previously the American Psychological Society) recently named Steven Piantadosi, an assistant professor of brain and cognitive sciences<\/a><\/strong>, to its list of distinguished Rising Stars for his contributions to the field of psychology. Piantadosi\u2019s research<\/a><\/strong> focuses on how people learn language and concepts.<\/p>\n

The Rising Star designation recognizes outstanding psychological scientists in the early stages of their post-PhD research career, whose innovative research has already advanced the field and signals great potential for their continued contributions.<\/p>\n

The APS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting, protecting, and advancing the interests of scientifically-oriented psychology in research, application, teaching, and the improvement of human welfare.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
