And in looking? When is the viewer\u2014or the one being viewed\u2014vulnerable?\u00a0A film series this fall considers such questions through thrillers, documentaries, and more, spanning settings that include 1970s New York, 1980s West Berlin, and contemporary Afghanistan.<\/p>\n<p>Titled \u201c(In)visibility,\u201d the series is cocurated by the George Eastman Museum and <em>InVisible Culture<\/em>, an electronic journal for visual culture founded and edited by students in the Graduate Program in Visual and Cultural Studies. The films are being screened in honor of the journal\u2019s founding 25 years ago. This fall\u2019s anniversary issue of <em>InVisible Culture<\/em> is dedicated to the theme of security and visibility; the series examines the topic cinematically and celebrates the partnership between the University\u2019s program and the museum.<\/p>\n<p>The six films are <em>Peeping Tom<\/em> on November 10, <em>Neither Heaven nor Earth<\/em> on November 11, <em>The E<\/em><em>yes of Laura Mars<\/em> on November 17, <em>Wings of Desire<\/em> on December 1, <em>Images of the World and the Inscription of War<\/em> on December 8, and <em>Cach<\/em><em>\u00e9<\/em> on December 15.
