ANDY STALDER*<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cOne day when I was little, my father took five dollars out of his modest pay to give to the University for Rush Rhees Library. He was a Swiss immigrant, and that was a big gift. That always stuck with me. Now, I\u2019m able to give more than I ever thought possible. Two of my life-income gifts will be used to create an endowed research fund for the James P. Wilmot Cancer Institute\u2014an amazing place where I was treated years ago. My hope is that, in some small way, I\u2019m helping to hasten a cure or improve treatment for others affected by cancer. As I approach my 93rd birthday, I have a sense of great accomplishment. Giving is a big part of that. It\u2019s my legacy. And I know my father would be proud.\u201d<\/p>\n
