UR Essentials materials reminder

If you are a full-time, matriculated undergraduate student and haven’t picked up your physical materials yet, please do so before spring break. Students should have received an email from Barnes & Noble confirming their courses and the method of course material delivery. The University’s UR Essentials program provides all your required textbooks and course materials. Physical books are bundled for easy pickup at the bookstore, and digital materials are available on Blackboard.

River Campus financial aid applications

Financial aid application materials for returning River Campus students are due March 15. All financial aid applicants are encouraged to log into their FAOnline account and review their Required Documents page to determine what materials are required. If all documents are marked Received or Approved, your application is all set. Please keep in mind that additional materials may be requested after reviewing your submitted application, so you should monitor your Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ inbox for additional requests. If you have any concerns about submitting your application in time for the March 15 deadline, please reach out to your financial aid counselor.

Discontinuation of undergraduate SMD course offerings

Beginning in fall 2026, School of Medicine and Dentistry undergraduate (U) sections of graduate courses (like PM 414U, BCH 412U, and MHB 430U) will no longer be offered. All courses previously given a U designation will still be offered through SMD as a graduate course. For some programs, these graduate courses will be offered as three-credit courses, whereas for other programs, there will be no impact on the number of course credits. All impacted undergraduate programs have been notified and have identified a transition plan for current and future students. If you feel this change may impact your plans for degree completion, please see your college advisor or department contact to discuss your options.
