This internship provides the opportunity to apply AI and machine learning techniques to large-scale thermal and visual imaging datasets used to assess infrastructure and energy efficiency. They will help develop automated analysis methods to identify issues in roofs, utilities, and lighting systems using high-resolution aerial imagery and radiometric thermal data. Through this work, the student will gain experience working with advanced imaging technologies, computer vision concepts, and real-world geospatial datasets. The project supports finding innovative approaches to infrastructure monitoring, sustainability, and large-scale data analysis.
