Updates in Procurement and Supply Chain

Updates to Independent Contractor Process and Enhancement to Open Markets ESQP Platform

 

 

UR Policy 122 聽Worker Classification: Employee vs. Independent Contractor was recently updated to align with federal and state regulations.

In addition to updating the policy, independent contractor forms were also updated and a new Limited Engagement Agreement and low risk independent contractor process was introduced.

The Equipment Quoting Standard Platform (ESQP) hosted by OpenMarkets was recently updated to allow for creation of a聽 Workday draft requisition from the quote, streamlining the creation process.聽 To learn more about this and attend a training session, visit the UR Procurement Website, ESQP page.

Newly announced tariffs and a turbulent market has led to an increase in supplier requests for price adjustments. Please note that we should not accept any price increases without proper justification from the suppliers.
