That\u2019s because just about three percent of all the books published in the United States are translated from another language. Chad Post is publisher of Open Letter Books. They\u2019re dedicated to the translation of works of fiction here in the United States.  Without small publishers like Open Letter Books, there would be hardly any translated books in our bookstores at all. Other countries are different. Chad says that more than half the books on the market in France and Spain have been translated from another language.
