There’s not a lot of info on the (a pet peeve, but I’ll resist teeing off on the Academy of American Poets website for today, since it’s Monday and the 16-7 Cardinals victory on Saturday put me in a temporary good move), but the award is given out every year to a collection translated from any language into English.

The list of past winners is pretty damn impressive: Clayton Eshleman, Robert Fagles, W. S. Merwin, Anselm Hollo, Cola Franzen, W. D. Snograss, Guy Davenport, Robert Pinsky, Rosmarie Waldrop, Charles Simic are just some of the recent winners.
