In my PhD thesis, I found between 1990-2015 inclusive, four translators translated nearly one third of the total 125 literary books from Danish to English (published in the UK). Pretty prolific. Also worth noting that Danish to English translators also tend to translate from Norwegian (and even occasionally Swedish) so surprisingly many ARE making a living from literary translation overall, whether they do one or three Danish books per year!
