Just printed out your review and reading it now. I still have “Shyness and Dignity” to read, but I’m excited to see which other books of his ND ends up bringing out. (The quality on these two is simply outstanding.)

Best,
Chad

I hope it pushes Solstad out into the world a bit. I DID write about Solstad (it’s in The New Yorker this week), exactly as you predicted I would — but without the Henry Green comparison! (For what it’s worth, I totally agree with you about the comparative merits of “Armand V” and “T. Singer” — the latter book is terrifying.)
Best wishes
James Wood
